adiyen dasan.There are various keyboards to type Tamil which almost everybody here knows. Google, NHM Writer, Azhagi etc are already known and very widely used. Today I came across another keyboard VUTAM 3. Eventhough it was introduced as early as in 2009, so far I have not seen that. After using this one, I am very happy to introduce this keyboard to those who do not know about this and fo those who still find it difficult to remember key strokes and type in Tamil. Those who know the fingering in English typing keyboard will become masters in Tamil typing instantly. It supports only unicode . One need to remember just three steps. For example,in Normal position r=ர; in Shift the same r=ரு; With Alt key the same r=ரூPlease visit http://v.ramasami.tripod.com to know more about it and to download the keyboard . In Tamil the terms தளம். மாடி, மேல்மாடி mentioned there are Normal, Shift and Alt positions in the keyboard. Just by hitting Ctrl+Spacebar English and Tamil can be toggled. Interested may give it a try.I am very glad to share this for two reasons.One the person behind this belongs to Aruppukkottai our nearby town in Tamilnadu and the second important reason is he was also a retiree from our telecom department
